In all honesty, it was a hard day for me. Satan attacked and I let him win....URGH.
The morning started beautifully. I got up with the kids to read the bible and the story of Easter. Then we made breakfast, resurrection crescents with marshmallows, cinnamon, and sugar...YUM! Then showers, and getting dressed. K put an nice rip in her beautiful tulle dress even before we made it to church--let's just say I was devastated...and so was she! We made it to church...I was getting over the disaster at home. I walk into service to grab a seat with Katherine, at the time that we are asked to greet and welcome those around us. I reach over and hold out my hand to say hi to the lady sitting two seats from us--she seemed to be leaning over to greet us--only to be met with "we are saving these four seats next to us..." No "good morning", "happy easter", "glad you are here" greeting at all. My response? I was bothered, I was turned off, yet I smiled and said "Hi, Happy Easter" Service was wonderful, sermon was beautiful, worship music very moving...I cried. Then on the way out of church, I had a single request "let's go out this way, I'd like a picture of the four kids together..." They CRINGED....URGH!!
So, I napped. I don't ever nap. I napped for two hours. Then I got up, and felt a little better. We ended the day with a movie, and family dinner.
Though it was a hard day for me, I went to bed thankful for Jesus' ultimate sacrifice for me, the sinner who deserves nothing. And yet HE loves ME enough to die on the cross, cover me with his blood, and forgive me each and every moment of every day.
