Filling her "dress" closet with homemade dresses

So, my goal was to make K a valentine's dress. I took out my sewing machine and just started sewing. I've replenished K's much depleted closet of dresses that actually fit her. Hoping these last! I'm almost done with dress #4--the last one being the one K is excited about. She actually requested the pattern when she saw it in a book. It looked a bit too complicated for me to just dive into it...but after 3 other dresses, I gave in and decided I'd go for it! Can't wait to put the zipper and hook/eye on it to finish it off. K tried it on today, and she begged me to finish it so she could wear it for Valentine's. I started it last night...I finished it last night, minus the zipper, only to find out that morning that it was a bit TOO big. Had to undo, take in and redo...but it's nearly done! For now, here's what she wore for Valentine's day! we added the sweater and pants only because it was a bit chilly tonight. :)

Dress options...

I decided instead of shopping for a valentine's dress for K, I would make one. I've been on a "seamstress" kick and have knocked out 3 dresses in three days!! Two are lacking button holes (I need to figure out how to do those, I don't think I've EVER done a button hole...YIKES!) But they are done, and they fit beautifully!! Last night we shopped for shoes and she found the cutest little denim peep hole shoes...heels, of course. Here's option one...she asked to wear it to church...I LOVE the fabric she picked out!
