Abuela came to visit...and we had tons of fun

She was here for four SHORT days....yet we made the best of every minute. We enjoyed yummy meals together, went to the movies, went to church together, played at the park, played soccer, played baseball, played barbies, did hair, played on the swings, and the slide, laughed a lot, abuela babysat the kids--which they LOVED--so that Daddy and I could get out on our bikes for a 26 mile ride, and then a date night--and somewhere in the middle of all that fun, we found a little bit of time to rest! Actual pics later, but for now, I love watching this quick slideshow I put together.

First TBall Game | Tulsa Little League

Wow, I guess I underestimated the excitement and pride that I would feel seeing my kid out on the field for his first T-ball game!! It was so much fun to watch all those kiddos play! They are all young, and not everyone understands the game quite yet, so there were some funny moments. My favorite memory of the evening--watching Joshua run in to home plate for the very first time...he was so proud of himself, and so was I. That grin was priceless! At one point, probably about the second batting round, Dan commented to me that he had gone close to the dug out to encourage Joshua and praise him, and Joshua's response was "dad, when are they going to let me out of here, I want to come sit with you" All the kids seemed to have had lots of fun, and we are already looking forward to game number two at the end of the week.

It was a perfect afternoon to play T-Ball and to watch...here are some more shots of the kiddos playing!!

Busy two days...

Wow, it was a busy two days...and what a week all in all...

Joshua started T-Ball last week, and has really enjoyed going to practice. His first game is next Tuesday. Katherine's Kindergarten program was last night, and she was super excited about performing. She did awesome and sang every song beautifully!! Thanks to wonderful friends who came to watch her and made it even more special for her.

On top of kids activities, my car battery died twice, Oliver is miserably surviving allergy season, Noah is mobile (which is good--I'm not complaining, BUT it means more work keeping up and making sure little things are all picked up off the ground so that they don't end up in his mouth)...so to end the week, I indulged in this...
